... or how to connect your iPad apps on the GO!
Do you own one of the “antique” original iPads like me? Or perhaps you purchased one of the new, tied to AT&T, iPad 2′s over the past week? If you fall in either one of these categories the mobile carrier wants you to try out “the Nation’s Fastest Mobile Broadband Network” for free for one month.
TUAW reports that According to an email making the rounds to AT&T customers, you can get a free month on the iPad 2 GB data plan (normally US$25). There’s no commitment, early termination fee or activation fees associated with the offer.
Stick with after the break and we’ll tell you how YOU can get FREE 3G!
According to the email you just need to contact AT&T at 1-888-237-5888 or visit an AT&T Store. Do NOT try to access this offer through your in-iPad activation located in Settings. Signing up for 3G service through your iPad will result in your being immediately billed rather than being able to try it for free.
If you do not want to continue the service after your free month of service is up, just cancel the service PRIOR to 30 days of activation or BEFORE you use 2GB of data service. You can check how much service you have used and is remaining through your iPad’s Setting app. Cancellations can be done through the AT&T My Wireless Account web page, visiting an AT&T Store or calling the same 1-888-237-5888 phone number.
This is a great way to test out the AT&T 3G Service Plan. I wish they had offered it before my last month’s trip! But I encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts!
Please be sure to stop back and let us know how the plan measured up for YOU! We’ll watch for your comment!
