With even more tablets on the horizon this fall never before has there been a better time to author your own ebooks!  But are you intimidated? Do you think putting together a book in the universal EPUB format will just be too hard and complicated?  Well fear not!  Now there is Book Creator for iPad!  This iPad app will get you going and won’t stop until your ebook is done!

During our testing we marveled at how super intuitive this app is and how absolutely simple it is to use!  The very first thing you see when opening up the app is a short tutorial on getting started. In six short pages, made of course with Book Creator for iPad, you know enough to dive right in and start making your own book! The tutorial not only tells you what to do, it invites you to try it out right then and there!

Book Creator for iPad makes ebooks ready to be read, or published to the iBookstore! Book Creator does not apply DRM to your books, leaving you free to choose exactly how you want to share them with the world. If you submit your book to Apple’s iBookstore you can choose at that time to add DRM to your book. The developers are also working on adding the ability to add audio and narration into your books using their Book Creator for iPad app. This should be available in an upcoming revision.

 

Your ebooks will look stunning in the iBooks app on your iPad and iPhone too. Since it is published in EPUB format it will also be readable on a Kindle or Nook although the developers would not guarantee that the experience would be as good as on your iPad and we did not have and eReader to test one on. Guess we should think about getting on the list for that Kindle Fire huh?
